Motion-sensitive digital cameras are being placed throughout 200 eastern NSW nature reserve locations, to detect if there is a 30% change in a species’ occurrence over a ten-year period. This measurement will help determine a species listing as vulnerable under the IUCN red list.

Long term volunteer – 2 days per week

Requirements:
Ideally based in the Upper Mountains (resident). Own transport, own laptop and mobile. Pre-approved out of pocket expenses are reimbursable.

Background in environmental/social science. Interest in the vision and mission of BMWHI. Knowledge of the Blue Mountains local community and GBM system desirable. Willingness to be hands on.
